As a Client Platform Engineer in our Workplace Technology team, you will work as part of a Client Platform Engineering spearheading the goal of delivering world-class Linux VDIs.
We are looking for an experienced Linux administrator, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our growing AWS Workspaces based virtual desktop environment. You will work closely with Atlassian engineers to understand their requirements, design tailored VDI solutions and provide expert-level support to ensure optimal system performance and security.
Due to working with cross-functional stakeholders in Sydney (Australia), the ideal candidate must be physically located in PST (USA) or CST (USA) Time Zones only.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
4 - 5 years proven experience with RHEL based Linux endpoint administration and troubleshooting.
4-5 years proficiency in scripting languages for Linux and AWS automation.
4-5 years working on macOS and Windows endpoint manage technologies and approaches.
Proven experience with macOS MDMs and troubleshooting, using the terminal, device enrolment program (DEP), configuration profiles and everything else macOS in the enterprise.
Well-developed skills with Windows MDMs, including experience with Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Configuration Service Provider (CSP) and the usage of ADMX files.
Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex issues including virtualization and VDI environments.
Skills Implementing regulated industries security and compliance best practices and policies for Linux and Windows VDI environments.
Ability to maintain detailed documentation of VDI configurations and procedures, including providing training and knowledge transfer to team members.
Strong aptitude for building client relationships by providing excellent technical support and guidance.
It is great, but not required, if you have experience with:
Skills with AWS Workspaces such as design, deployment, scalability, and performance.
Working with information security, compliance and audit teams on complex issues like FedRAMP requirements.
Troubleshooting cloud networking issue.
Skills with identity access platforms like Okta.
