Description:
As a Senior Manager, Information Security (Cybersecurity Partner), you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic cybersecurity guidance to our client's IT product teams and a designated subsidiary. Your responsibilities will include crafting and implementing cybersecurity strategies, collaborating with various stakeholder groups, and spearheading initiatives to achieve specific security objectives. While primarily a single contributor role, you may oversee a team of technical or security professionals in more complex scenarios. Your leadership will be crucial in promoting a robust cybersecurity program and ensuring effective execution.
Responsibilities:
Skills/Expertise (60%):
- Deliver expertise in cybersecurity best practices and provide guidance to tech staff.
- Act as a cyber expert to business leadership and propose solutions to mitigate cyber risks.
- Identify and enumerate threats and risks relevant to the designated areas.
Planning, Guidance, and Program Management (20%):
- Advise on key program objectives and policies in alignment with business needs.
- Communicate the value of new initiatives and collaborate with tech leaders to align funding and project timelines.
- Engage with business leadership to understand objectives and ensure alignment.
Communication and Engagement (10%):
- Liaise with local stakeholders to comprehend business objectives.
- Align cyber program objectives with the client's cybersecurity function.
- Guide presentations on key areas of cyber risk and cybersecurity measures.
Leadership & Team Management (10%):
- Act as a leader within the business area and provide direction to cross-functional teams.
- Manage a team of cyber experts dedicated to the business unit when required.
Requirements:
- Associate/Bachelor degree or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, including leadership in a large enterprise or professional services company.
- Experience managing a team of cybersecurity or tech professionals and analyzing risks for business leaders.
- Advanced knowledge of security/IT concepts such as data retention, access control, and incident response.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven management skills, including coaching, development, and strategic thinking.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities, explore new ideas, and travel as needed.
