ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Sr. Research Scientist position will lead multiple NIH funded projects in reproductive biology and microphysiologic system (MPS; organ on a chip) laboratory in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position will focus on projects to reduce the risk of preterm birth, develop MPS platforms for preclinical drug trials, and test various drugs. The NIH-funded projects will conduct preclinical trials using MPS models of the reproductive system (placenta, fetal membrane, cervix, and uterus) developed and reported by the division.Β
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
PhD degree and 3 - 5 years of related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
PhD degree and 3+ yearsβ experience in cell and molecular biology experiments and expertise in developing, testing, and using organ-on-chip technology (MPS platform development and testing) platform for various experiments using cell and molecular biological approaches.
SALARY:
Commensurate with experience.Β
