Remote candidates are welcome, provided you're within a 3-hour drive of Pittsburg, KS, and can join us in Pittsburg once a month. Cities within 2-3 hours of Pittsburg include: Overland Park, KS; Wichita, KS; Kansas City, MO; Joplin, MO; Springfield, MO; Northwest Arkansas (Bentonville, AR; Springdale, AR; Rogers, AR).Β We are only considering candidates in these areas.




At LimeLight, the Senior Web Development Manager plays a pivotal leadership role, guiding our development team to consistently deliver outstanding results for our clients. This role demands not only deep technical expertise but also strategic vision, proactive leadership, and a passion for building and optimizing ecommerce websites.


As the team leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of marketing and ecommerce websites, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of performance, security, and usability. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to gather comprehensive requirements, providing clear direction and managing expectations to ensure seamless project execution.


This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive innovation, mentor team members, and ensure continuous improvement. You will also be accountable for documenting development processes, establishing best practices, and tracking performance metrics. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and third-party contractors will be crucial to managing projects and delivering on time.

Key Responsibilities



  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the web development team, ensuring alignment with client goals and internal company objectives.

  • Oversee the development, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of e-commerce websites, with a focus on scalability, site speed, and conversion rate optimization.

  • Lead the team in Agile practices, fostering a collaborative, iterative approach to development.

  • Mentor and develop junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Track and measure team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring the team delivers high-quality, on-time results.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather detailed project requirements and manage client relationships effectively.

  • Work closely with third-party contractors and ensure all project tasks and updates are completed on time.

  • Assist with scoping new website and development opportunities and joining sales calls as the technical lead.

  • Act as an architect and write full sets of technical specifications that can be utilized by the development team for implementations.

Required Qualifications



  • 7+ years of experience in web development

  • 5+ years of experience with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce

  • 2+ years of experience in management, leading development teams

  • Strong experience in an agency environment, working directly with clients

  • Expertise in React, Vue, Svelte, or other modern JavaScript frameworks

  • Experience with TailwindCSS and Bootstrap

  • Expertise with relational databases and optimizing database performance

  • Proficiency in version control and team collaboration using Git (Github, Bitbucket, etc.)

  • Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and managed hosting services such as AWS and Azure

  • Strong experience working with debugging tools (Chrome Inspector, Firebug, etc.)

  • Proficiency with development IDEs like VS Code

  • Excellent time-management, communication, and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to addressing blockers and articulating next steps

  • Direct experience working with clients and managing their expectations
