About the AMD–SLED-Public Sector Client Specialist:Β 
MarketStar currently has an opportunity available for an AMD–SLED-Public Sector Client Specialist role.Β Β 

The AMD–SLED-Client Specialist role will be responsible for enabling the go-to-market strategy, developing customer relationships, and driving sales within the SLED space within their assigned territory.Β  This role will help AMD achieve revenue and market share goals, foster and grow relationships with end users to executives, track and assist in closing opportunities with HPI and the AMD value proposition.

What will you do?Β 

  • The specialist role is responsible for market growth by acquiring new SLED accounts in support of HP & AMD through outcome-based sales methodologies.

  • Coordinates and owns account plans for strategic SLED accounts, focusing on larger deals, portfolio positioning, and effectively selling the organization’s offerings.

  • ​Develops a comprehensive territory GTM strategy that includes engagement across HPI’s and AMD’s sellers and SLED VARs while also including both Sales and Marketing tactics.

  • Develops and maintains strong professional relationships with their clients to understand their unique business challenges.

  • Demonstrates an advanced level of subject matter expertise and employs consultative-selling techniques to identify and advance opportunities.

  • Visits to assigned territory customers & partners as designated by AMD to develop and grow relationships; with up to 40% travel and as needed.

  • Encourage HPI SLED Field & Inside Sales as well as local VAR sales reps / account managers to quote HPI-AMD Client device products more frequently

  • Own and manage a pipeline of HPI-AMD Client device opportunities within their assigned territory that identifies revenue and strategic markets and/or customers

  • Follow up on HPI-AMD Client device bid opportunities with VAR’s when applicable

  • Deliver HPI-AMD revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basisΒ 

  • Defines and pursues joint growth opportunities with partners leveraging the organization’s portfolio

  • Conduct HPI-AMD Client device sponsored engagement (if applicable and allowed by all necessary parties), and any other duties as assigned

  • Acquire and analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting to recognize areas of strength and opportunities for growth and deliver a trend analysis on a monthly basis

What will you need to succeed? Β 

  • Solid field sales experience preferably in public sector

  • College degree in business or a related field preferredΒ 

  • Strong experience conducting group presentations or trainingΒ 

  • Understanding of distribution and OEM channel and the ability to learn quicklyΒ 

  • Time management and organization skillsΒ 

  • Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skillsΒ

​The pay range for this position is $95,000.00 and $130,000.00 and may be paid annually. This pay structure may include a variable bonus component. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role’s responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
