Trajector is seeking a talented Software Engineer II to build and enhance applications to power our next generation products and workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience working with AWS, Node.js, TypeScript, and React.

• $100,000 - $140,000 per year with quarterly bonuses based on performance with total compensation at a range of approximately $120,000 - $162,000 per year.  
• This role may be filled at a Level I, Level II, or Senior Level Software Engineer level, contingent upon the candidate's skills and experience.

• Develop and maintain software applications and systems on AWS, utilizing JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js and NoSQL databases.
• Transform intricate Figma designs and wireframes into high-quality, reusable, and efficient code.
• Optimize components to ensure top-tier performance across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
• Participate in code reviews, promoting best practices and maintaining a high-quality codebase.
• Update and maintain comprehensive documentation for all features in development.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of working experience in software engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js/Express, JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker and utilization of AWS-based solutions.
• Deep understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js or Svelte and their core principles.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of UX and design principles.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Proficiency with code versioning tools, such as Git.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in Tailwind CSS or other modern CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap or Material-UI.
• Experience with front-end testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine, and testing libraries like React Testing Library or Enzyme.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and experience interfacing with them.
• Familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
