Sr. Cyber Security Engineer (Remote)

Overview
- Tier One Technologies is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to work on a Contract-to-Hire position with our direct US Government client.
- This will be a 100% remote role.
- Must be a US Citizen and have CISSP certification.
- SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.
Responsibilities
- Act as a lead security designer, provide expertise in all areas of cybersecurity.
- Create security assessment reports.
- Design and maintain security controls for applications and infrastructure.
- Implement, network segregation, and device security.
- Enhance security monitoring and detection systems.
- Create and manage all security documentation and testing.
- Perform vulnerability scans and assessments.
- Formulate and administer Cyber Security policies and procedures to define and enhance capabilities and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field.
- 8-10 years of experience in the Cyber Security or related field.
- Have an active CISSP certification.
- Proficiency in Cyber Security, Information Assurance (IA), Vulnerability, Scans.
- Ability to designs security strategy and strong familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be eligible to obtain a sensitive clearance – Position of Public Trust.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years. Military Service excluded.
