SeKON has an immediate need for a Technical Solutions Architect to join our talented team in Reston, VA. Due to COVID-19, this role with be remote for the foreseeable future. Knowledge of and experience with Federal contracts required. The Director of Business Development will advise and assist, in a collaborative manner, the Chief Executive Officer. He or she will be responsible to create, operate and manage an effective Business Development Department that will consistently win and establish a significant pipeline/backlog for the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Understand client needs to define business, service, and component capacity requirements for stabilization of User Experiences.

  • Participate as an active member of a technical team of highly skilled and experienced Network, Cloud, System, Security, and Business Engineers and provide guidance as needed.

  • Work with the Technical lead to create and iteratively refine a layered architectural model that can be used to assess the readiness of deployment sites/data centers for suitability to access a cloud-based solution to meet defined SLRs/SLAs.

  • Ability to evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations with pros and cons of each evaluated option.

  • Plan and design the structure of a technology solution using industry best practices and tools.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods.

  • Assist with solving technical problems when they arise.

  • Address technical concerns, ideas and suggestions.

  • Monitor quality and timeliness of deliverables to ensure they meet both client needs and business goals.

REQUIREMENTS:



  • Proven experience as a Technical Solutions Architect

  • Experience implementing IT Modernization projects in a phased approach.

  • Hands-on experience with systems of systems/family of systems integration

  • Proven strategic IT experience in DoD/VA or large-scale Integrated Health Systems

  • Experience in project management

  • Knowledge of selected coding languages (e.g., JavaScript, Java Bean, SQL)

  • Familiarity with various operating systems (e.g., Windows, RHEI, AIX), databases (e.g. Oracle, Sequel, Mongo, Hadoop) and ETL/EDI/ESB capabilities (Rhapsody, Informatics, BOXi (Oracle))

  • Familiarity with various Security Architecture capabilities (e.g., Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, Group Policy Objects, Network and Service Security Tools)

  • Familiarity with various Networking Switching, Routing Technologies with associated OSI capabilities (. e.g. Token-Ring, ATM, Ethernet)

  • Familiarity with various vendor specific technologies, and capabilities (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Forescout, Spunk, BigFix, OAUTH)

  • Experience in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware, Citrix)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Problem-solving aptitude

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
