The Role

Fisher & Paykel appliances is seeking a trusted VP of Sales for the retail channel, to join the US Leadership Team to provide thought leadership and strategic insight. The VP of Sales (Retail) will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership and direction to the retail sales team, that increases product market share and profitable growth across all retail channels, aligned to Fisher & Paykel and DCS’ global goals and strategic imperatives. They will deliver a world-class end to end customer experience across all touchpoints of the retail channel.


You Will

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning and execution of our Channel's strategy, aligning it with global imperatives and growth aspirations.
  • Drive the translation of the strategic plan into actionable tasks, resulting in increased product market share and profitable growth.
  • Ensure disciplined and effective execution of plans, including priority changes and transformation activities.
  • Foster personal responsibility for tracking and reporting on plan progress using People + Goal processes.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to envision success, engaging the Channel team to deliver impactful work.
  • Employ stakeholder management strategies for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Regularly update Executive Management on Channel's progress, maintaining transparency across local and global Market Groups.

Retail Channel Expertise:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the retail channel, staying current on industry best practices.
  • Manage and cultivate existing channel relationships, harnessing growth opportunities.
  • Identify and establish new channel relationships, generating enthusiasm for F&P's brand and products.
  • Ensure a consistent, brand-aligned representation of F&P's value proposition across all retail touchpoints.
  • Uphold compliance with relevant regulations and laws governing business within the Customer Experience's operation.

Retail Channel Operational Leadership:

  • Drive Operational Excellence through operational and People + Goal forums, adhering to principles of accountability and forward focus.
  • Demonstrate effective, visible leadership, shaping a culture of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Oversee financial management, with a focus on revenue, margin growth, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller to prepare, manage, and report on annual budgets.
  • Leverage cross-functional strengths to seize new opportunities and address organizational challenges.

Retail Channel Team Leadership:

  • Ensure adherence to F&P's Market organizational design and culture.
  • Coach, develop, and retain high-performing leaders, emphasizing strategic capability.
  • Establish and align a culture reflecting F&P's brand values and behaviors.
  • Lead recruitment, development, and talent acquisition for leadership roles.
  • Sustain best practices for a high-performing team.
  • Collaborate on leadership training programs to enhance leadership capability.

  • You've got the intelligence, commercial awareness, and savviness to provide business leadership across functional areas of a global consumer organization including budget and fiscal management experience.
  • A cross-functional senior operational leader with experience encompassing sales, warehousing, and customer service business

You Have

  • Minimum of 8 years of account management experience and 5 years of leadership experience– preferably in luxury premium appliances
  • Undergraduate degree or related experience
  • MBA or advance degree is highly desirable
  • Global multi-national leadership including strategy creation and execution of a Retail Channel.
  • Proven leadership, with a track record, of successfully transforming and growing a Retail Channel that increased market share and profitability growth.
  • Business leadership across functional areas of a global consumer organisation including budget and fiscal management experience
  • Proven experience as a senior cross-functional leader
  • Established credibility and strong relationships within the appliance industry

The salary range for this position is $220,000 - $250,00 base. This range is a guideline and may not reflect your exact offer. Factors considered when extending an offer include (but are not limited to) education, experience, relevant skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
