Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to be a member of our team. You will provide Cybersecurity Analyst support in coordination with The QinetiQ Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to achieve, manage and maintain an accredited system. Duties include;

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide Cybersecurity Analyst support in coordination with QinetiQ CISO to achieve, manage and maintain an accredited system. 
  • Provide cyber-related subject matter expertise and act as the main interface for all security related life-cycle activities. 
  • Thorough working knowledge of information security technologies, industry trends, and best practices. 
  • Support and manage security process activities including security requirements definition, threat modeling, code reviews, cyber risk assessments and related activities where applicable.
  • Employs deep security skills to design, build, and protect enterprise systems, applications, data, and assets.
  • Assess and validate configuration files from various technologies according to DISA’s Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guides.
  • Articulate system design and explain system vulnerabilities to customers and assessors using Nessus and Tenable Security Center.
  • Proficient in designing and deploying security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  • Manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) for each noncompliant control or vulnerability.
  • Design, plan, and lead initiatives to optimize and restructure cyber security architecture as needed.
  • Data protection knowledge and ability to safeguard information.
  • Support penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities within software, systems, or enclaves.
  • Perform auditing various system components and network infrastructure.
  • Utilize enterprise network security monitoring tools.
  • Experience managing enterprise networks.
  • Create detailed, accurate, and polished system/network diagrams using Microsoft Visio
  • Teaching and training team members and new hires in support processes, tools, and technologies
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 
  • Attention to detail in all work-related aspects.
  • The ability to organize and attend meetings. 

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate must have 5 years of Cybersecurity experience managing system  
  • Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience, master’s may be substituted for 4 years of experience. 
  • General working knowledge computer systems to effectively execute systems activities. 
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA Security+, CCNP Security, Certified in Governance, Risk and Compliance (CGRC), CISSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISM, CISA a plus.
