Responsibilities






Peraton is seeking aΒ Analytics Developer 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The person in this role will be critical to our in improving the quality and accessibility of data solutions to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in detecting and preventing fraud, waste, and abuse within government-sponsored health programs.β€― This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional results through effective leadership and collaboration.Β 

Responsibilities:Β 

  • Translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Develop, design and maintain efficient data dashboards, reports and datasets adhering to industry best practices.
  • Perform source data analysis – data profiling, validation, conceptual and logical data modeling, etc., to determine the suitability of the source data for meeting program reporting requirements.
  • Create scripts for data comparisons and automated validations of reports for anomalies.
  • Develop maintainable code via proper structures, comments, and design using best practices.
  • Thoroughly validate the reports’ data being presented to build trust in the BI solutions provided to end users.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations and finetune the performance of queries.
  • Collaborate with analysis, design, data modelling, data staging, and report development
  • Review, interpret, troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries.
  • Provide feedback as needed to internal and external resources that provide source data.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of business intelligence technologies.
  • Meet with subject matter experts in different areas of the business, be able to learn the concepts and business language relevant to their line of business and develop an understanding of how their data supports their business processes.
  • Analyze and validate data sharing requirements with internal and external data partners.
  • Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations in all data








Qualifications






  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 2+ years of prior experience in data engineering field. 6 Years' experience with no degree
  • Familiarity with data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing principles.
  • Strong foundation in designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Experience with big data analytics and stream processing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, tools and platforms (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth level of understanding and experience to design and develop Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure preferred) and proficiency in deploying and managing data solutions in cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala, and experience with data manipulation and transformation frameworks (e.g., Apache Nifi, Elastic Search, ERWIN, and Hazelcast).
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices.
