Overview
- Tier One Technologies is looking for a Data Scientist SME to support our direct US Government client.
- This is going to be a 100% remote position originated in Arlington, VA.

- Must be a US Citizen or Green card holder and have an active Secret Clearance or higher.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement the most valuable business solutions for the organization.
- Prepare big data, implement data models and develop databases to support the business solutions.

- Use classified (if Security Clearance is high enough) and unclassified systems in support of creating targetable opportunities by identifying individuals and drugs and/or weapons trafficking organizations that pose a threat to the mail stream and corporate customers, employees, and infrastructure.
- Identify business trends and problems through complex big data analysis. Interprets results from multiple sources using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining independently.
- Work on high-visibility, or mission critical aspects of a given program, and perform all functional duties independently.
- Oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
- Develop and build Automated Tools.
- Provide Data Mining using state-of-the-art methods.
- Provide third party data, where applicable, to enhance product results.
- Enhance data collection procedures.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present results.
- Create automated anomaly detection systems.
- Assist in general IT support as needed.
- Continue to enhance a Cloud resource hosting solution.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related technical discipline preferred.
- 15 + years of relevant Data Analyst/Data mining experience to include but not limited to, Cloud resource hosting solution for APOLLO, HYDRA and ORION.
- Strong technical and computational skills in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, coupled with the ability to code design, develop, and deploy sophisticated applications using advanced unstructured and semi-structured data analysis techniques and utilizing high-performance computing environments.
- Ability to utilize advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict and make discoveries in complex data and deliver recommendations for business and analytic decisions.Β
- Possesses knowledge and experience of advanced analytics and data storage.
- Knowledge of various data science applications and architectures.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Have an active Top Secret or Secret clearance.
- Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
- Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last 5 years. Military Service excluded.
