Summary of Position:Β 

Β 

The Director, Organizational Change Management is responsible for These projects are created in support of the Executive Working Group’s (EWG) strategic initiatives for the organization. This role will provide coaching to project managers and the larger UMA organization on adopting and implementing large scale enterprise transitions.Β 

Β 

The Director, Organizational Change Management will report to the Sr. Director, Planning and Support.Β

UMA is a nonprofit healthcare educational institution with a national presence. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida and founded in 1994, UMA offers content-rich, interactive online programs as well as hands-on training at our Clearwater, Florida campus.Β 

  • Anticipated starting salary of $140,000; pay rate negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:Β Β 

Β 

Functional:Β 

  • Develop and Implement Change Management Strategies: The Director, Organizational Change Managementanticipate and minimize resistant behaviors from employees and stakeholders impacted by the changes.Β 
  • Support Communication Efforts: The Director, Organizational Change Management enables the design, development, delivery, and management of key communications related to change or transformation. They will provide a template for communication planning, allowing for a repeatable and predictable communication process that the organization can adopt throughout all change initiatives.Β Β 
  • Assess Change Impact: The Director, Organizational Change Management conducts impact analyses, assesses change readiness, and identifies key stakeholders. Understanding the impact of changes helps tailor change management approaches.Β Β 
  • Act as a Coach: The Director, Organizational Change Management coaches all levels of the organization including senior leaders, people managers, supervisors and individual contributors. They help fulfill the critical role of aβ€―change management sponsorβ€―and support project teams through transitions. They will act as the subject matter expert (SME) for change management within the organization, provide ongoing best practices to all leadership levels to act as change leaders, and engage with Learning & Development (L&D) on embedding change leadership content into ongoing training and development.Β 
  • Integrate with Project Teams: The Director, Organizational Change Management collaborates with EPMO and IT project managers and project teams to integrate change management activities into project plans. They will create a community of change agents that help to increase the adoption and buy-in of all initiatives.Β 
  • Perform Other Duties: as assigned by the Sr. Director, Planning and Support or Vice President, Office of Transformation.Β 

Compliance:Β 

  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and carefully follows all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the Department of Education, accrediting agencies, CIE, and internal UMA policies and procedures.Β Β 
  • Effectively communicates compliance requirements to students and other staff as appropriate and quickly escalates any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.Β

Work Experience, Skills & Abilities:Β 

Β 

Minimum Requirements:Β 

  • Associate’s degree.Β 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Change Management role and/or Organizational Development role.Β 
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working across various functional groups such as HR, IT, Sales, Finance, etc.Β 
  • Expertise in leading and implementing company-wide change management initiatives.Β 
  • Solid understanding of organizational development and change theory.Β 
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.Β 
  • Self-starter who works well in a complex, fast-paced, demanding and constantly changing environment.Β 
  • Strong communication skills; able to communicate both verbally and in writing in English and be comfortable communicating with all levels, internally and externally.Β 
  • Strong organizational skills, including follow-up and attention to detail.Β 
  • Expertise in influencing others to support change.Β 
  • Ability to implement changes on your own and as part of a group.Β 
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams and Skype.Β 
  • Able to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.Β 

Preferred Requirements:Β 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree preferred.Β 
  • Experience in Higher Education and/or Healthcare Industry preferred.Β 
  • Prosci Change Management certification preferred.Β 
  • PMP certification preferred.Β 

Working Environment:Β 

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.Β

  • Requires long periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.Β 
  • Requires occasional bending, stooping and squatting.Β
