Position Location: Cannon AFB, NM

About the Role:

The Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Ground Tactical Mission Planning Support Engineer (MPSE) will support service-provided ground operator tactical computing systems and software in addition to supporting USSOCOM/TACLAN/SOMPE provided systems/capabilities.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

• Supports classified and unclassified Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) devices, and associated cables for use by Special Tactics (ST) personnel.


• Updates and maintains SOMPE-approved TAK Suite builds.


• Loads, tests, and distributes critical mission data, as required.


• Upon SOMPE COR approval, provide on-site training when and where required/requested. Some training and test sites may require AFSOC Ground Tactical Support Contractors to wear appropriate tactical personal protective equipment (PPE) (multicam protective combat uniform (PCU), footwear, eye protection, etc.), in such cases the required equipment will be Government provided.


• Supports Level will be Tier 1/Help Desk.


• Assist with proposal development, if necessary.


• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Experience:

• Detailed knowledge of AFSOC Special Tactics ground operation and tactics required.


• Minimum of five (5) years, within the last eight (8) years, operational experience with/or supporting AFSOC required.


• Have a working knowledge in the following areas/programs:

  • Windows Tactical Assault Kit (WINTAK)
  
  
  • TAK Server and FCD-W mobile device management (MDM) familiarization
  
  
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• A+ CE, CCNA – Security, Network+, or SSCP highly desired.

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.


• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Security Clearance:

• Secret clearance required with ability to obtain a Top Secret


• US Citizenship: This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Sawdey Solution Services to staff it only with U.S. Citizens.
