Overview

In anticipation of a contract award, Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Program Manager to support a Federal Client. The Program Manager will lead and oversee our team in the areas of planning, organizing, managing, coordinating, and tracking of IT development work, IT operations, resources, client satisfaction, and overall delivery, as well as contract and personnel administration, teaming partner relationships, and corporate reporting. This includes ensuring quality deliverables and services, client responsiveness and satisfaction, contractual responsiveness and compliance, contract risk and issue management, financial management, and seeking organic growth for the contract scope and revenue.

What You'll Do

Contract Management

  • Ensure contractual compliance with the Statement of Work and Deliverables
  • Prepare for and present status to the client and contracts team on a weekly basis; prepare for and present program status to client and contract stakeholders on a quarterly basis
  • Maintain list of key personnel, and ensure adequate qualifications of key personnel; prepare submissions for the CO when there are changes to key personnel
  • Maintain or work toward work-share agreements with sub-contractors

Financial Management

  • Accountable for the appropriate management of funding by each option year on the program; ensure visibility into the financial situation for appropriate government customers
  • Seek opportunities to grow the contract and increase funding through greater breadth or depth of scope of services

Delivery

  • Accountable for quality work delivery across all aspects of the program, but specifically focused on Program & Project Management & QA Services, Application Program & Project Development, Business Development & Business Management
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of the project and scope, including coordination of deadlines and other activities to provide effective system changes and process execution
  • Facilitate information sharing and coordination across work-streams, including program-level team meetings, management meetings, status meetings, brown bag lunches, team social event
  • Identify integration points, potential efficiencies and external dependencies among product-level schedule
  • Design, develop,Β contribute to,Β and maintain management plans, such as program and project management plans, OCIO-level contract deliverables, risk and issue management plans, schedule management plans, communication management plans, quality management plans, and other required artifacts such as a decision log or action items list
  • Establish and maintain a repository of contract/program - related documents
  • Analyze contract pain points and gaps and make process improvement recommendations; implement recommendations as required
  • Provide ad hoc reports to address topics or issues as requested by clients. These include but are not limited to white papers, options papers, executive summaries
  • Establish and monitors schedules. Identifies resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
  • Apply significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients
  • Builds a knowledge base of our client's business, systems and objectives

Corporate support

  • Compliance with all delivery reporting expectations, including monthly Program Status Report/Metrics, and all corporate development standards, including CMMI ML3 compliance.
  • Support for corporate business development as requested

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree.Β 
  • PMP certification.
  • 10 or more years of total experience in program management.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage a large government program with 10+ staff preferably with experience managing large programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms and demonstrated ability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with Senior Leadership and/or Government Executives and staff on a day-to-day basis.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and success building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and business presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing spend plans and contract requirements; cost plus contract experience is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel.
  • Direct experience with leading/participating in Agile teams (SAFe preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline.
  • Must successfully complete a Background Investigation (U.S. Citizenship is a requirement).

Abilities

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance (or higher) is required.

  • ITIL certification.

Salary Range

Salary range is $150,000-180,000/year. The salary range for this position reflects a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skills, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs.
